Join us for the 32nd Annual in historic downtown Honey Grove!

Davy Crockett Day is an annual festival celebrating the rich history and vibrant community of Honey Grove — the town famously named by Davy Crockett himself in the 1830s. Set against the backdrop of our historic downtown square, this highly anticipated event brings visitors from across the region together for a full day of family-friendly fun, live entertainment, delicious food, shopping, and community celebration.

Last year was our biggest Davy Crockett Day to date, featuring over 120 vendors and 52 registered vehicles in our 1st Annual Car Show — and we can’t wait to make 2026 even bigger and better.

Festival activities and shopping will take place from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and will include live music, food trucks, local businesses, handmade goods, boutiques, crafts, baked goods, entertainment, and more.

As one of Honey Grove’s premier annual events, Davy Crockett Day provides an incredible opportunity for vendors to showcase their products and services to a large, engaged audience. Whether you’re an artisan, boutique, food vendor, nonprofit, or local business, we invite you to be part of this celebrated tradition.

Steaks in the Grove Team Registration

Get ready to fire up the grill and compete for the title of Steaks in the Grove Steak Champion!

Hosted by the Honey Grove Chamber of Commerce, Steaks in the Grove is a one-of-a-kind steak cookoff benefiting the Crockett Park Playground Project. Teams will compete for cash prizes, People's Choice bragging rights, and a chance to help build something special for Honey Grove families.

Competition Format

Teams receive official competition ribeye steaks provided by the event.
Round One turn-in: 11:00 AM – 11:15 AM
The Top 5 teams advance to the Championship Round.
Finalists announced at 1:00 PM.
Championship Round turn-in: 2:00 PM – 2:15 PM.
Awards presented at 3:00 PM.

Prize Payouts

Steak Champion – $1,000

2nd Place – $500

3rd Place – $250

People's Choice Award – $250

Public Tasting

Following Round One judging, teams will receive additional steaks to prepare for public tasting. Attendees will sample steaks from competing teams and vote for their favorite to determine the People's Choice Award.

Teams are welcome to prepare and serve additional foods, meats, appetizers, and samples to attendees; however, only official competition steaks will be judged.

Important Information

Setup begins at 6:00 AM.
Streets close to vehicle traffic at 7:00 AM.
Mandatory cooks' meeting at 8:00 AM.
Pellet grills, charcoal, wood, and propane are permitted.
Electrical hookups are available for an additional $20.
Generators are not permitted.
Each team must provide a fire extinguisher.
No outside competition ribeye steaks allowed.
No outside alcohol permitted.
